In this recently built modern home with spectacular views on the east coast of Mallorca, the television presented a real challenge. Where could it be placed? Rather than opting for a conventional solution, after several weeks of study we proposed an innovative and sophisticated concept to the owner.
The priority was to preserve the views, hide cables and electrical connections, and above all avoid compromising the home's contemporary design.
The solution is based on a complex metal swivelling support system, designed and handcrafted exclusively for our client. Combined with a motorised lifting mechanism, it allows a 60-inch television to be concealed within and raised directly out of the floor.
The system also rotates, so the TV can be viewed from any point in the living room or from the outdoor area — terrace, pool or garden — with maximum convenience.
When the TV is hidden, the area above it can be walked on normally. Nothing suggests that such a large screen is concealed in such a compact space.
With this bespoke MarQuel solution, the television is not simply hidden: it disappears as if by magic. Every aspect is designed for convenience.
No one would imagine what is hidden beneath the floor of this home!
