Handcrafted bespoke cabinet produced for a client on Calle Montalbán in Madrid.
The cabinet measures approximately 200 cm long x 80 cm high x 50 cm deep and conceals a 55-inch LED TV by means of a motorised mechanism, as well as a complete large-format Dolby Atmos sound system. The system includes a subwoofer in the lower right-hand corner, a 120 cm central soundbar and two separate speakers, left and right.
Using state-of-the-art white acoustic fabric, the cabinet delivers the best possible sound quality by reducing vibrations while keeping the speakers hidden. This material is used on the top, front and right side in the subwoofer area. At MarQuel we conceal all devices, speakers, power outlets and cables while keeping direct visibility of the soundbar display.
We carried out a complete acoustic study of both the cabinet and the room so that the client could enjoy the best possible sound without compromising the home's design and interior decoration. One of the main challenges was Dolby Atmos technology itself, as the speakers also direct sound upwards to reflect off the ceiling and create an immersive experience.
The cabinet includes four front push-to-open doors, providing useful storage space.
Oven-lacquered in a dedicated paint room. White, RAL 9010, with a matt finish.
